Most of you know that Friday August 1st, I called the Ambulance - TopicsExpress

Most of you know that Friday August 1st, I called the Ambulance for my Mother-in-Law, Gloria Baublitz. She had shortness of breath and was very weak. She was admitted to York Hospital and remains there for now. Since then some decisions have been made and the family has decided to let others know what is going on. She was diagnosed with Metastatic Cancer. There is a large mass in the upper lobe of her right lung, which caused it to collapse. There are spots on her liver and spleen and is also in her lymph nodes. She does not want any heroic measures but decided on comfort care only. There will be no more tests or labs. Vital signs will be done only if nursing feels it is necessary. She is accepting pain meds only, but will continue taking her routine meds as before. Without a biopsy there is no way to tell how long she has with us here on Earth. She has much faith in God and has asked the Good Lord to carry her thru this peacefully. Hospice will be visiting her and family on Monday to make decisions as to how and where she will be living out her final days. The family has been thru a lot lately and we want to thank each and everyone of you for your kindness, support, offers and prayers. Please do not contact her daughter, Candy Baublitz Ring as she is recuperating from major surgery. Candys daughter, Tabby Ring , or myself will try to answer any questions and share any updates with you. I would like to ask you to send her an e-greeting thru York Hospitals web site. She has received quite a few and looks forward to getting them everyday. Her room number is 520. Visitors are welcome but please realize that the family is mostly always there and she tires very easily. If you would like to visit, please contact the nurses station first so they can advise. And as always, continue to pray. Thank you all.
