Most of you probably remember the book and movie entitled ‘Left Behind’. That story depicted the rapture of the church. It’s a sobering story. But for those who know Jesus as their Savior the thought of the rapture should not cause fear. As a matter of fact Paul said on more than one occasion that the anticipated rapture should bring us comfort. (For instance see I Thessalonians 4:18; 5:11) He said too that we should be watchful for that day—living spiritually awakened. He also said we would recognize the season of the Lord’s appearing, maybe not the specific day and hour, but the season. I believe the Lord could return for the church in this season. That’s pretty exciting. Let’s share with others the good news of His soon appearing and be vigilant in our readiness to meet Him. Pastor Fred Rivers
