Most parents dont know exactly how much money a teacher spends for classroom necessities. I was on the parent board at my kids elementary school for 6 years. I was the Treasurer. I saw first-hand how much of the teachers own money was spent on supplies for the classroom. It often shocked me! So, when you get that list of supplies at the beginning of the school year, dont complain about the few bucks you have to spend to purchase paper, notebooks, pencils, glue, crayons, kleenex, hand sanitizer, etc. Do NOT gripe to no one in particular about why the school doesnt supply all these things for your child in the first place. Instead, remember the teacher who spent their personal, hard-earned money to purchase supplies to help your child get the education they need. Read this story and watch the slideshow.
