Most people believe that God’s patience is inexhaustible. Gen. 38:7 shows that is not true. God lost patience with a rich man who said that he would build bigger barns and take life easy. He told the man that he was a fool and He took his life that night (see Luke 12:19–21). He also lost patience with a man and his wife when they told one lie, and killed them (see Acts 5:1–11).
