It is pleasingly sweet melody that resembles Raga Madhumad-Sarang in its basic framework. Megh Malhar can be mastered only after learning it from Guru or Maestro in Hinudstani Classical Music. Being a very old raga, it is rendered with the influence of Dhurpad Ang which uses a lot of Gamak and Meend. This raga can be freely elaborated in all three octaves and creates a rather deep atmosphere. The time of rendering Megh Malhar is normally Rainy Season (All times). Ga (Gandhar) and Dha (Dhaivat) are Varjya, and Ni (Nikhad) is Komal with rest of all Shuddha notes. Enjoy this beautifully composed song in Megh Malhar....
