#MovieNews: The Amazing Spider-Man 2: OsCorp Cleared in Daily Bugle Viral Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Mar 11, 2014 by Brian Gallagher The Amazing Spider-Man 2s Daily Bugle viral website posted a new story today, revealing that the NYPD and the Mayors office will not file criminal charges against OsCorp Industries, as a result of the Lizards rampage in The Amazing Spider-Man. Check out the full report from Bugle reporter Ken Ellis, which provides some interesting hints that could relate to Jamie Foxxs Electro. March 11, 2014 By Ken Ellis In a joint statement, the New York City Police Department and the Mayors office officially closed their investigation into gross and systematic ethics abuses at Oscorp Industries. Shockingly, the investigation resulted in no discovery of criminal mischief or charges filed, despite the indisputable fact that a lizard man rampaged through the city last year, causing millions of dollars in damage. The closing of the investigation comes amidst rumors that Oscorp threatened to rescind the discounts they are providing the city for the completion of the new prototype power station. The grand opening of the Oscorp Power Grid on the Lower East Side of Manhattan is planned for April 16. The grid is expected to provide renewable, clean electromagnetic energy to the city and reduce costs to consumers by forty percent - if it doesnt blow up the city first, of course. Of course, this power grid will eventually become the source of Electros power, which he uses to battle Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield), since the villain is seen drawing electricity directly from underground power lines in previously-released footage. Last month, another Daily Bugle post revealed that OsCorp was ending its cross-species genetics research, following the guilty verdict levied against Dr. Curt Connors, played by Rhys Ifans in The Amazing Spider-Man. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 comes to theaters May 2nd, 2014 and stars Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx, Emma Stone, Sally Field, Paul Giamatti, Denis Leary, Dane DeHaan, Martin Sheen. The film is directed by Marc Webb. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+
