Moving away from funny - ha ha, for a moment, - to funny as in isnt it strange...? Ive seen an enormous trend on the rise of publicly shaming a child by airing their behavior and/or mistakes on social media. I have said, over and over, children must obey their parents and if they dont, there should be consequences for that disobedience. Going on, then, to publicly shame and humiliate the child is wrong and will, often, and most likely, cause resentment and disrespect from the child who is mocked. Good parenting: Making your kid sell their iPod and donate the money to the Stop Bullying! website when you found they were using it to bully others. Good parenting, taking a wrong turn: Posting a picture of your kid with said iPod and a poster stating what they did on social media. Good parenting: Selling your daughters concert tickets due to her spoiled behavior. Good parenting gone awry: Stating youre selling your childs concert tickets because she is a SPOILED BRAT on social media Yes, these are *my* opinions. Feel free to disagree, but before stating Im condoning bad behavior, please re-read as thats not what I said and spare me the Youre using social media to publicly shame... - Its not remotely the same...
