Mr Allan Chapman having a practice swing off the No.1 tee the day they opened up the 18 hole course for competition. It was only 14 holes till this time! Allan was the president in the early years but also became the Patron afterwards. He was also a Life Member of the Calliope Country Club!This photo is when they still hit off from the clubhouse, the tee was later shifted over the creek. Stowe Road in the background!
