Mr. Pierrik Chasle from France visited Heiwa Martial Arts Academy, Moratuwa on 12th September 2014. Pierrik is an ecological engineer by profession and practicing Chen Style Tai Chi of Grandmaster Wang Xian lineage for 5 years in France. We had a friendly training session at Heiwa dojo sharing the experiences in Chen Style Tai Chi of GM Wang Xian and GM Chen Zheng Lei as trained by Pierrik and me respectively. Practicing the same Lao Jia Yilu routine of the two Chen Style Tai Chi lineages of GM Wang Xian and GM Chen Zhenglei together was an insightful experience. Though both lineages have same roots, the two masters have developed uniqueness in their Tai Chi Styles. It was really interesting to discover similarities and differences of the two lineages through the same Lao Jia routine. Thank you Mr. Pierrik for the wonderful Tai Chi session.
