@Muhammad(un py salam ho) marriage with Aisha(allha unse razi hoa)@ Every now and then I notice the non believer are acusing our beloved prophet Muhammad(un py salam ho) for marrying 9 years old Aisha(allha unse razi howa), this article is for them who acuse without knowing the history and the reason behind it. First and formost we should look at the lust of a man. If a man is lustful he will be a womanizer without doubt. Now look at our beloved prophet Muhammad(un py salam ho) if he was lustful he would have married young beautifull girls, but He married 40 years old sayeeda Khadija(allha unse razi howa) at the age of 25 and stayed with her his entire young age. So it is very clear that prophet Muhammad(un py salam ho) did not marry Aisha(allha unse razi howa) for his lust, it was divine inspiration from God(Allah ). Some very important piont to note why the marriage took place? 1. Intelectual level of sayeeda Aisha (allha unse razi howa): An intellectually gifted person was required who would have daily contact with the Holy Prophet at the closest and most personal level, so as to absorb the teachings that he was giving on all aspects of life by his words and actions. Such a person would need to possess the following qualities: ◦an excellent, precise memory to retain a vast amount of detail accurately, ◦the understanding to grasp the significance and the principles of the teachings, ◦powers of reasoning, criticism and deduction to resolve problems on the basis of those teachings, ◦the skills to convey knowledge to a wide range of audience, ◦and, finally, have the prospect of living for a considerable period of time after the death of the Holy Prophet in order to spread his message to distant generations. 2. It was a divine inspiration: Before describing the rationale behind this married relation, let it be known that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) married Sayyida Aisha(allha unse razi howa) not of his own desire rather it was a Divine inspiration. Read the following Hadith; Narrated ‘Aisha(allha unse razi howa): That the Prophet said to her, “You have been shown to me twice in my dream. I saw you pictured on a piece of silk and some-one said (to me). ‘This is your wife.’ When I uncovered the picture, I saw that it was yours. I said, ‘If this is from Allah, it will be done.” {Bukhari :: Volume 5 :: Book 58 :: Hadith 235) 3. The Pagans of the Prophet’s time: The fact that it was a completely acceptable thing can also be seen from the response of the pagans at that time. No Muslim or even pagan objected to the marriage because it was widely practiced. And even until today in 3rd world countries (Muslims and non-Muslims), little girls as young as 9 or 10 do get married. Anyway, the reason no one objected was to the Prophet’s marriage was:1-People used to have very short life-spans in Arabia. They used to live between 40 to 60 years maximum. So it was only normal and natural for girls to be married off at ages 9 or 10 or similar.2-Marriage for young girls was widely practiced among Arabs back then, and even today in many non-Muslim and Muslims. 4. Engagement with Jubair bin Mutim: It ought also be noted that Sayyidah Aisha (allha unse razi howa ) was engaged to Jubayr son of Mut’im before Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him. This indicates the age of marriage and engagement in Prophet’s time. However, the engagement was later nullified by Jubayr’s parents due to Abu Bakr (allha unse razi howa) embracing Islam.Doesn’t this indicate there was nothing bad in marrying a 9 year girl at that time?She must have been even younger when she was engaged to jubair. 5. Sayyidah Aisha(allha unse razi howa) was fit for marriage: Furthermore as to the Holy Prophet’s marriage with Sayyidah Aisha, something people will notice is that the completion of the marriage was done when Sayyidah Aisha was 9 years old, not when she was 6, and there is a reason for that. The reason why this happened is because Sayyidah Aisha had been through puberty by the age of 9, and in Islam a female who under-goes puberty is considered a lady and is fit for marriage. If we read the hadiths, we find that right before Sayyidah Aisha got married off to the Holy Prophet(un py salam ho) that she was sick and not feeling too well, and that was when a girl enter to life of woman (surpass her puberty). 6. Finally, does God says anywhere that a girl cannot get married at the age of 9? Can anyone who like to abuse show us that where God said a 9 year old girl cannot get married? A tree bear its fruits after it gave flower, a woman is ready to get married when she has finished her first minstruation. On average a mango tree bear its fruit at least on its age from 6 to 7 year, now if the same mango tree bear fruits within three years what is the problem in it? So if we look all those factor the marriage between Muhammad(un py salam ho) and sayeeda Aisha(allha unse razi howa) was normal and more on divine inspiration.
