***** Mummy Tribute ***** Everyone who knows me from school days at Heathfield back in the 80s know that I was always in trouble with the teachers and the police. At 12/13 yrs old I was getting arrested and expelled from Heathfield. My life spiralled down hill and my life just got worse! But no matter how much/many times I was in trouble, my Mum always stuck by me when nobody else would. Throughout my whole life my Mum was always there for me through thick and thin. She stuck by me so much that I always felt ashamed for getting into trouble again. Every time I got into trouble, I could see the disappointment in her face. But she never said anything, she just carried on sticking by me! Later in life I was so ashamed of myself for continually letting my Mum down (and myself) that I seriously wanted to do something about it. I wanted to do something that would make my Mum proud of me instead of always being disappointed in me. Thats when I decided to go back to education and make something of myself. I went to college and did an access course and studied really hard to get the grades I needed to get into university. I got the grades needed and here I am at uni. I am now determined to graduate as a scientist and (for once) make my Mum proud! To gain my degree as a thank you to Mummy for always sticking by me! Thank you Mum for always being there and never giving up on me. I know I rarely say it but I love you, always have and always will! As a footnote, I would also like to say thank you to my step-dad (Harry) who has also done more for me than he needed to, so thanks Harry for everything youve ever done for me! People can change, its just a matter of wanting to! I cant change the past but I can shape my future! Thank you for taking the time to read my post peeps! :)
