Murambiwa Madzimatira (45) of Southlea Park, Harare South, was assaulted by Zanu PF goons on 7 July 2013, at Candy shops for wearing his MDC regalia. They thought they had killed him after they slit the t-shirt with a knife right across the chest. They assaulted him with booted feet and clenched feet and was left for dead. He sustained a broken jaw. Of the five, Madzimitira identified one of the thugs as Talkmore Banda, who stays in the same surburb. A police report was made at Waterfalls Police station but nothing has been done to date, yet the people are seen daily loitering in the area. After making a follow up at the police Station, he was told to call back later.
