Muranga Hon. Wanjirus Event... DP confirms elec connection is 35K I attended the event organized by Hon. Wanjiru Chege at Kenol Muranga partly her thanksgiving and partly a women economic empowerment fundraising. The Chief Guest was the Deputy President H.E William Ruto. The event was well planned and organized and many Muranga women turned up. There were speeches on security and need for continued Government action. I was happier with the confirmation by the DP that electricity connection must continue to be done at Kshs. 35,000 as the money is from Govt. Kenya Power had started to charge high rates for connection even in Nyeri where I got complaints. DP asked Kenya power to publish in the papers that the charges for connection are Kshs. 35,000. For those who cannot afford electricity solar is a good option. We should work to eradicate use of kerosene lighting in our homes... Congrats my friend Hon Wanjiru, keep up!
