Music buds. Have you been watching Sonic Highways? Where the Foo Fighters go to a town for a week and write an album where each song has history about that town? And they drag Vig with them to lay down the tracks? Its pure genius. The first two episodes were very Dave Grohl centered, and as I totally have the utmost respect for that guy, I want more of a story about the town then I want one about his interactions in said town. Tonights episode was about Nashville. I grew up in that area. All the major TV stations were based there. I knew more about Al Gore in the early 80s then I did about any governor in Kentucky where I lived because of TV being based from Tennessee. People that live near a big town, but in rural areas, always dream of moving to the big city and for me Nashville was the first place I dreamed of. This episode did that town justice, and this song is the best one off of the concept album thus far. Now I just have to convince my better half we need to rent property in STL, Dallas / Ft. Worth, PHX and Music City USA (maybe a time share in CHI).
