Musings from my mind this morning: This morning I caught this picture in my minds eye of a fireplace with nothing in it. People were huddling around it as if it would warm them. They looked kinda silly doing that. Likewise, the church of Jesus without the fire of God burning in it makes us look kinda silly too I reckon. Fire comes only from a fierce, unceasing seeking of Gods face (not His hand) The church by its nature needs fire and lots of it. Not programs, not a good reputation, not great music...fire. I wonder what it looks like for the the church to be alight good and proper in these days? I wonder how long before churches and Christians (including myself!) drop tools and bend the knee, calling to God for what is needed (simply Himslef) instead of working for it? ...how long O Lord?
