Muslim Conference spokesman Adv. Abdul Hamid in a press statement has said that a condolence meeting was organised by Muslim Conference unit Sopore to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of 14 yeaR old khalid Sharief Mir who was thrown in river Jehlum by CRPF personnel & not allowed to swim to safety, who ultimately achieved martyrdom at a tender age. the condolence meeting was attended by across section of people besides the father of Shaheed Khalid mr. Sharief udin Mir, the meeting was presided by Muslim Conference chairman Mr. Shabir Ahmed Dar.Mr Sharief while paying tributes to all martyrs including his 14 yea old son said they have sacrificed their sons for a noble cause,as the mission of our beloved ones was complete freedom for Kashmir,so to pay them tributes will be to take forward their mission Azadi he was having tears during his whole speech. Shabir Ahmed in his presidential address paid glowing tributes to young khalid & other Matyres & pledged that no stone will be left unturned to take the unfinished mission of our martyres to its final destination meanwhile Shabir Ahmed took strong exception to the statement of Indian foreign minister Salman khurshid that kashmir is domestic problem, terming it unrealistic & against the political ethics. the presence of Indian foreign minister on the soil of kashmir is testimony to the fact that kashmir is an external issue as recognized by all the respected members of United Nations. so sense & sensibility demands that an pragmatic approach is needed to approach the contentious kashmir issue, indian leadership instead of hiding behind the bushes must recognize the somber political reality, call spade a spade & organize a referendum under the supervision of United Nations Security Council, that only con satisfy the collective conscience of kashmiries.
