My 04 EX AWD now with 170k miles out at Boca Reservoir last summer seeing if any water was left. (hardly any). Original owner. Smartest thing I did was installing some guards for the radiator and transmission cooler right after I got it as theyre vulnerable to damage. Cosmetically average but religiously maintained. Full synthetic since 3rd oil change. Ive replaced suspension struts and the engine/trans mounts. Been running 225-70/16 tires for past several years. Alternator went out around163k miles but other than that, nothing broke other than a couple of exhaust hangars. Alternator gave usual warning (bearing noise) so I knew it was going out. If anyone is interested, the maintenance schedule I follow is the one in the back of the owners manual with increased frequency on trans fluid changes and run 7500 mile or a year on the synthetic oil. Spark plugs get changed a bit more often than factory recc as well. Its been a great car and probably has at least another decade ahead. Have a mystery rattle somewhere on the front right that Im trying to chase down so if anyone has any ideas, please fire away. When I pull off the snow tires in the spring, Ill need new summer tires, so interested to hear any tire thoughts. The last set I bought were Yokohamas that I regretted due to shortly life.
