My 2 cents on the Fiefdom called the Dunwoody Police Department and our city budgeting priorities: Id appreciate having a special public discussion regarding the additional cost of buying these -vs- the normal cars that we see used throughout the majority of the other police departments in Georgia. Would also appreciate a separate public discussion for the reasoning that our police department is requesting another $1 MILLION in their budget for 2015. When compared to the Carl Vinson Institute study of our citys operating expenses before we became a city, the current costs & manning of the police department is MUCH greater than proposed. Remember the 3 Ps when told would be the focus of our city: Police, Parks & Paving. Our 2015 Parks budget is flat -vs- 2014, Lets invest in our Parks, which increases our Quality of Life, creates a greater sense of place, and directly increases property values. Lastly, a very direct undertaking for a sense of space is wayfinding signage throughout our city. We took in $3.7 Million more than budgeted this year. We have over $10 Million in reserves (nearly 50% of our annual budget). Lets invest this back into public amnesties for the betterment of all. Thank you.
