My 4-year old kicked my butt before I ever got to work today. So I was at the store grabbing some sweat pants for my middle son and my little guy is working me over to go to the Toy department. Now as a parent you know what that means. You go to LOOK at the toys and inevitably youre being talked into buying some toy you dont need. So I make a deal that we can go and look if he PROMISES not to ask me for something. He agrees.. EVEN PINKY SWEARS (lol). Sure enough before I can get him to leave hes pleading with me to buy some pack of police cars for 30-bucks. I decide to stand my ground. So the entire time were standing in line to buy the sweats we came in for hes bawling his eyes out... To the point where people in line are offering to buy the toy that hes still clutching onto! The one woman even said, Oh look at his eyes! My grandbabies are out of town. Let me buy it! As difficult (and EMBARRASSING) as it was... Im proud to say I didnt give in.... this time.
