My Apologies to all this is long overdue,but I guess better late than never. Id like to thank all who wished me a happy birthday and pray that God richly bless you in return. The past week has been very trying for me with the sad news of the passing of my very good friend and brother from another mother KWAME ANNING aka The Boy,aka Umbeez Costello who many of you know was my right hand man, my co-pilot in my FIVE O and my best friend in days gone by. Growing up on the UG campus there wasnt a day where Kwame and I would not see each other or hang out together being neighbors in Little Legon.Kwame was a fun loving free spirited kind of guy and some of the best years of my life were spent hanging with him.It didnt end in Legon cause about a year after I left to the US Kwame arrived there and our escapades continued in The Big Apple. Life, marriage and different goals however saw us drift apart with me moving back to GH and Kwame to OHIO. Some years ago Kwame came down to GH for a visit and naturally he made it a point to visit me.We sat down and had a good laugh as we reminisced and talked about the good old days. Sadly.. little did I know that it was going to be the last time that Id see my friend. We talked less and less as the years passed... life I guess each of us busy with its trials and tribulations.In my mind Costello and I had taken a break a time out and would meet again to continue were we left off. I was deeply shocked and saddened with the news of his sudden departure such a strong and vibrant soul.......... for me too too young and too soon to exit. My condolences and prayers to the Anning family, Mother,brothers,sisters,wife and son.Farewell My Brother and God Speed till we meet again.RIP.
