Some prophecies leaves no doubt especially during the first Christian era such as where it is written in the book of Genesis : The scepter shall not depart from Judah , nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh come ( Gen. 49.10 ) The name Shiloh is a Messianic title and the prophecy says that the tribe of Judah remained the leading tribes of Israel , especially providing their kings until the Messiah came . Likewise the promise was given to King David that the Messiah should be one of your descendants as the eternal King, the one whom God said : I will establish forever the throne of his kingdom (2 Sam 7:13) . Isaiah said : Then shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse ( the father of King David) , this is more a title of Messiah and indicates that , although the family tree of Jesse was cut , a kingdom that would arise from the roots clearly the true Messiah . And that would be fulfilled in Jesus , as his legal father , Joseph, was of the royal lineage of David and therefore had the right to the throne ( Mt 1,1-16 ) . His mother Mary was also a descendant of David . After the time of Jesus , it would be impossible to establish the biological lineage of any candidate for the throne of David , because all ancient genealogical records were destroyed soon after . The prophet Daniel (Dan. 9:24-27 ) there is openly said that the Messiah would come sixty-nine weeks (which are sixty-nine years sabbatical , a total of four hundred eighty-three ) . After being given the decree to rebuild Jerusalem , which was in ruins , that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had destroyed . With the prophecy uttered by Daniel, who after four hundred eighty-six years the Anointed One will be killed and no longer in our midst, and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and sanctuary (Dan. 9.1 to 26 ) . Not only should the Messiah come before this destruction, but it also would be cut rejected and killed , it is obvious that no one but Jesus could have fulfilled these prophecies . The prophecies become totally impossible any future Messianic but its fulfillment in the second coming of Christ . As there are other prophecies which were fulfilled in Jesus Christ, such as His virgin birth ( Isaiah 7:14 ) . His birth in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) . His sacrificial death (Isaiah 53.5 ) . His death on the cross (Ps 22.14 to 18 ) . His bodily resurrection (Ps. 16.10) . There is no doubt that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God ( Jn 20,31 ) . The messianic consecration of Jesus manifests his Divine mission . And, incidentally , which indicates its name , because the name of Christ is understood as the one who anointed him who is anointed , for he who anointed is the Father , who was anointed is the Son , and was in the spirit which is the anointing . His eternal messianic consecration was revealed in the time of his earthly life , on the occasion of his baptism by John when God anointed him with the Holy Spirit (Rev. 10:38) , that he might be revealed to Israel as their Messiah . By his words and deeds will be known as the saint of God . The Messiah was to be anointed by the Holy Spirit as both king and priest , but also as a prophet .
