My Dear Friends, I went to Christ the King Church this - TopicsExpress

My Dear Friends, I went to Christ the King Church this evening for the visitation with Tommy Batemans family. Susie looked remarkably wonderful. So did her daughters. I felt so humbled at the amount of people that were there to pay their respects. There must have been between 500 and 1000 people. A steady stream filing in and out of every door. People backed out to the street from the front door and to the office from the side door. It was amazing at how many people were touched by Tommy and Susie and their families. People seeing classmates they have not seen in almost 40 years. There was such a feeling of camaraderie throughout the church. You could feel that all of the people there had something in common...or should I say someone. A common thread brought all of those people to say good-bye to a man who touched each life that was there, and to pay respects to a woman who touched them as well, for where there was one there was the other. And that is how it was always meant to be. If Tommy and Susies children ever get to read this, I hope that they know what awesome parents they have and how many people they have touched. My prayers and thoughts to Susie and her children and to their families. God bless Tommy and God bless you all. In my heart and thoughts forever, Donna
