My Dear Friends We young bankers wish to draw your kind attention - TopicsExpress

My Dear Friends We young bankers wish to draw your kind attention towards our present situation which is overlooked by everybody. Our Wage Revision is due since Nov 12 and till now 7 or 8 strikes have been called by bankers on this. But we found no headlines and no coverage in any newspapers and newspaper have given a place by printing our views and situation You are covering Gauhar Khan for being slapped by an unknown person , Arvind Kejriwal Dubai Trip and why and how he went their in Business Class, trying to find out who is liar in Rohtak Incident and many more but have you guys ever thought about why 10 lakh bank employees/officers unions are calling strikes & what are their demands. Why we are on roads at the cost of loosing our hard earned salary due to participating in strikes. The government is giving NPA as the reason for decrease in profits, but we must tell you that rising NPA is not because of us. If you conduct a survey and make a analysis you will find that the top management/ executives and many politically influential people are responsible for these huge NPAs. We are also contributing to the growth of our economy and earning our salary from the profit of our organisation. The government if provides us the support of the media, the support of police, and with the power of court to help in arresting and recovering from the willfull defaulters ,then you will see no cases of NPA in future. Imagine the situation of a bank officer working for complete seven days from 9 A.M to 9 P.M. That is why we are demanding 5 days a week so that we can give at least some time to our family also. Before writing on us please conduct a survey on us how difficult our life is. Please compare the Working scenario of banking sector officials with central government officials ,you will find that there is accountability and sword hanging for all credit decisions and no exit time for bankers from office and this also includes working on Sundays .For NPA recovery we have to face very harsh anddifficult situations including warning and life threats from the customers. We dont go on strike on our will but we are forced to do this. In strike we lose one day salary. We are not against public. Before going on strike we make sure that the ATM machines are fully loaded and our e banking and other Alternate Delivery Channels are always working so that the general public do not face problem. Imagine what happened when advocates, doctors, bus, teachers etc go on strike. You guys took interest on that butnot in case of bank employees. Everyone choose job for his /her career building & good life style. What wrong did we do if we chose banking as a career? We just wanted equality with other sectors as well as central government employees. The demand of wage revision is justified because we are contributing in nation building process conveying & completing all govt sponsored schemes to every nook & corners. We know that media is acting as a pillar in nation building and is always free from prejudice. Please support us in our struggle to get a much awaited and delayed just and fair wage settlement. Thanks Young Bankers
