We all need to watch this. When I started my Lawncare it was because I truly enjoy working on something with my hands and bringing something from not so eye appealing to a wow factor when someone pulls up the drive. ( the same as building a RC Plane from a box of sticks to a work of art) Last few years work has gotten much harder. The same people that I hire to work no longer like to work. They all see my job as Dirty, Degrading, Below them, Not Cool. Honestly I feel like a disposable piece of trash that people dont respect my skills but just use me to show off there own yard to others and have no Idea who I am. Not because of my customers but because of all ways trying to find a good working person. I have had a few great ones.... but they are getting much harder to find! ( My Customers are THE BEST!) Now thats not all of them but that is a real feeling I struggle with every day. I use to be proud to be able to say my line of work and now days I am embarrassed. We need to let our kids know its ok to be in a job that is dirty and stinky. At the end of the day if your bringing home the milk, bread, roof over head, and raising the kids right ( teaching them the value of earning that dollar).... Your living the life!
