My Irish son is coming back to stay with us next week. My heart is smiling. Props to that kid who has nothing invested with us, who could easily turn and run away from tragedy because its so horrible and act like we never met- yet he wants to be with us anyway. The more I think about it, the more I see that our paths crossed when they did, in the way that they did, due to the choreography from a higher power. Please God, please help me keep this perspective in the coming days weeks and months as it feels impossible to bear. Please help me to see that you have been helping us for years in ways that havent been known to us. Please help me to remember that you have taken care of us to this point, and that you will continue to bless us in the future as we cope with this unimaginable hole in our hearts.
