My Mom and sister planned a railroad trip together. Rita is very often late, but Mom is always on time, so she took her seat and was patiently waiting. Mind you, the trip was supposed to take over 20 hours, and the next train wouldnt depart until the day after. Anyway, 3 minutes before the departure time my Mom gets a very nervous call from my sister saying that she is rushing from the subway station with big bags and will try and make it. At 10 am sharp the train starts moving, and my Mom sees my sister running towards the car, so there is no other choice for her but to pull the emergency brake lever. The train stops, Rita gets on, Mom is upset but tries to calm down. Suddenly 2 policemen show up and start scolding Mom and threatening to kick her out of the train, because somebody being late for departure is apparently not an excuse for pulling the lever. She ends up paying a 30 dollar fine, and the journey continues. Hmm, I wonder why my Mom and sister dont go on vacation together anymore? 😂
