My Radio Kerry The Games for the weekend are Crokes v The Tipperary Champs Saturday and then on Sunday i will be reporting in St pats v An Gaeltaght Local bragging rights, along with the destination of the Division 1 title, are at stake in Strand Road on Sunday next when the kingpins of Tralee football Kerins O’Rahillys and Austin Stacks face off in the final of Division 1 of the Credit Union Senior Football League. When it comes to the Roll of Honour in Division 1, Austin Stacks are joint top on 9 titles along with Laune Rangers while Kerins O’Rahillys, who last won the title in 2008, have 4 titles. When the sides met in the first round they could not be separated and Sunday’s game is likely to be just as close with both teams eager to make up for disappointing championship defeats at the hands of Dr Crokes. Rahillys have home advantage thanks to heading the table, two points ahead of their rivals. Throw in is at 2:30pm. With the final round of matches looming on Sunday next, just one issue has been decided in Division 2 of the Credit Union Senior Football League - Finuge, on 14 points, will be one of the three teams promoted. The two teams immediately behind the leaders, Currow (12 points) and St Pats (11 points) know that a win will see them accompany Finuge to Division 1 next season, however, they face Ardfert and An Ghaeltacht respectively, two teams fighting hard against relegation. To add spice to the equation, Finuge themselves face neighbours Emmets, who, should they win and results elsewhere go their way, could also be heading for Division 1. The results of these three games will certainly have a big bearing on the final makeup of the three up, three down combinations. Skellig Rangers and Tarbert, both on ten points and who meet in Portmagee will also be frantically awaiting results from elsewhere as will John Mitchels (9 points) and Kenmare (10 points) who meet in Ballyseedy – indeed such are the vagrancies of the points table some of three of these four sides chasing promotion could easily be dragged into a relegation situation by evening’s end. Meanwhile, Annascaul who prop up the table on 8 points along with An Ghaeltacht, entertain Gneeveguilla knowing that they need to win to avoid relegation. Certainly there’s an intriguing afternoon in store on Sunday. All games on Sunday are at 2:30pm. w
