My Ramadan Discipline on Facebook I want to wish all my Facebook family, friends and groups a bless Month of Ramadan. It is indeed a month on which the Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Therefore the spiritual awakening in the human soul is the most important aspect of Ramadan and not just fasting. In fact fasting is actually preparing you to receive Allah’s Message (revelation). Fasting is not just abstaining from food but abstaining from a lot of other worldly and selfish things. It is indeed a month of sacrificing, not indulging but being attuned to the needs of others. So with that, I am disciplining myself not to indulge in or responding to selfish, foolish, meaningless, obnoxious or degrading post. Besides-I don’t think I do that anyway, but certainly not in the MONTH OF RAMADAN. My posts will be strictly for the uplifting the spirit of Muslims and non-Muslims with knowledge, insights and perspective that are positive and encouraging. This is my Ramadan discipline while on Facebook. If I find it difficult, I will just nix Facebook for the entire month. That may be best….
