THOUGHT FOR THE SHABBAT If a person uses a statement from the Letters (known by many as the New Testament) to try to support their mindset, why is it they do NOT use a statement from the Tanakh (what many know as the Old Testament)? Whether or not you agree it smacks of the fact one has NO foundational understanding of what the Most High YHWH has laid down as the foundation of the faith for those that would follow HIM. Needless to say this may well come off as sounding harsh to those who do not agree. So Ill use their line of reasoning to prove a point at the end of this commentary. Consider that the New Testament did NOT even exist as Messiah and HIS Talmadim (apostles) were teaching the good news otherwise known as the Gospel. Do any of you know just what the Gospel was? Whether or not its a news flash Messiah was NOT teaching something revolutionary. Now for you history buffs I highly recommend you do some very basic research into finding out that the Letters or so called New Testament was in fact a compilation of letters, written to various congregations/assemblies (NO they were not churches) many of which were Hellenized Jews who had fallen away from the Torah, and in fact were being admonished to come BACK to the Torah while accepting Messiah and the concept of Teshuvah (not new by the way) or REPENTANCE of sin and turning BACK to YHWH. I encourage you all to do a Google for Council of Leodicea and Council Of Nicea. You will quickly see how the very foundational faith we all know today as christianity began in fact with the Church of Rome, and their tenants are based on many very antisemetic intentions. Read through the Canons and you quickly begin to see where there are many declarations to separate ones self from The Jews. The reality is the early followers (and 11 of the 12 apostles) were in fact Torah observant Jews, they were NOT christians as the altered bibles of today seem to relate via their translations. They were Netzarim (branches) or Followers of The Way. So without further delay permit me to quote from some of The Letters the words of Messiah who is the Father manifest in the flesh, the Living Torah and finally the perfect sacrifice brought forth to provide the Path for redemption. It is up to YOU to make those decisions that continue you on that Path. It is by NO means a free ride, YOU make the decision and YOU see it through. Matt 5:17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete. Matt 5:18 “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done. Matt 5:19 “Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens. Matt 5:20 “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the heavens. (from this it as clear as can be the Torah is NOT done away with nor are he commandments given to Israel by which to live. Yet so many church goers of today seem to think it has been done away with. NOTHING has been done away with that the Father established) 1John 2:3 And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commandments. 1John 2:4 The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1John 2:5 But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 1John 2:6 The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked. 1John 2:7 Beloved, I write no fresh command to you, but an old command which you have had from the beginning. The old command is the Word which you heard from the beginning. (Does this sound like a christian talking? Nope it is a Torah Observant Jew teaching others to DO the same. How you can alter these words is beyond me, they are as clear as can be.) Heb 10:28 Anyone who has disregarded the Torah of Mosheh dies without compassion on the witness of two or three witnesses. (You sure wont see this one being taught in the church.....and why is that?) The ones being taught by the apostles were told this....so why not the church? Hmmm) Rev 22:12 “And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work. Rev 22:13 “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Tav’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. Rev 22:14 “Blessed are those doing His commandments, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city. (and finally the last words which say it ALL, yet fall on many a deaf ear (and deaf preacher in churches around the world). Hint: There are 12 gates and NONE of them are the church gate.....yeah you guessed it. Youre either ONE of the TWELVE tribes of Israel and acting accordingly or ......well......you aint going......sorry I didnt say it HE did. :-) Shalom
