He said that his contract said no refunds, then he came back and offered me a $2500. gift card to his company. Being an investor I should have known better. My atty has contacted him 2 weeks ago with no reply. I live in Atlanta. Your Comments: This sale took 3 visits to close over 2 weeks time from the first appt and there was no pressure, we require 50% deposit on all full roof replacements as does our competitors. They still have a roof ordered and we stand ready to install it upon your request but one week after the ice storm hit Augusta they demanded that a new contract be written with a whole list of new rules and when we refused to sign it, they told us to not come back on this property and cancelled our contract just 5 weeks from when it was signed and only 1 week past the target install date. They will get their roof when they realize I didnt back out, just waiting for ok. Sean the owner is very knowledgeable of the roofing business and specifically working with insurance companies when filling a claim. He walked us through the entire process, gave excellent recommendations on picking shingles and helped to file all finanical paperwork to complete the process. Due to excessive rain this summer scheduling was a bit difficult but once scheduled, his contractors were quick and professional. Unfortunately we have a leak over the addition and were awaiting repair but hopefully theyll reschedule and resolve soon. My roof has not been repaired after more than 15 days. Customer service for Hughes Roofing deserves an F rating. As I may have to go to court to get my money back, I can not recommend this company to anyone. I have nothing positive to say about this company. The roof also sinks in in the places that the holes were repaired. As long as it doesnt leak, we are fine since we will be replacing the entire roof soon. Your Comments: This was an old roof and the repair did not include replacing warped sheets of plywood (underneath the shingles)...no leaks... 1 year warranty on repairs.
