My VISION: The Church Destined to Triumph! The time for having lifeless church services, singing songs, and living without power or purpose IS OVER!. We are living as if we are powerless, not because we have not been blessed, but because we have not been taught. The prophet Hosea speaks to this issue directly when he says in chapter 4 v. 6: “My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me.” He goes on to say in chapter 6 v. 6: “I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings.” (NLT)We were created as totally dependent beings and are spiritually bankrupt without Jesus Christ, the sum total of our human capabilities lies within our thoughts, words, and deeds. What the Apostle Paul calls, the Gospel of Grace and a balanced and holistic approach to spiritual formation and discipleship is required to address the spiritual needs and life pressures of today’s believer now more than ever. As individuals, we all come to the spiritual table with our own baggage, hang-ups, talents, strengths, and skills, but through a radical love affair with God, we are anointed to love and to reach those from the hopelessly poor to the marketplace leader, for the purposes of Christ and His Kingdom. We believe that regardless of the individual paths our lives may take, God desires above all else that we come to know Him. He has provided the source and the only way to know Him in an intimate way– in the form of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The biblical record tells us that,“Jesus told him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”” (John 14:6, NLV) The question then becomes, how, can we come to know Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life? We believe that this spiritual model is accomplished through a passionate, purposeful, and intellectual Kingdom lifestyle fostered by a radical approach to see grace established in every THOUGHT, WORD, and DEED that has the perfected and completed work of the Lord Jesus Christ as its core and foundation. This is the vision of our ministry: “It is our Kingdom concept to TRAIN, MENTOR, and INSPIRE, through THOUGHT, WORD, and DEED a radically loving, creative, intellectual, and passionate community of people transformed through the Gospel of Grace to fully experience and reproduce the life of Christ.” REAL CHURCH. REAL PEOPLE. REAL SIMPLE. I see One Church Triumphant…” In 1992, during a rather powerful worship service at Rhema Christian Center, God gave me a vision, so unique that I have never forgotten it. I have often recalled it throughout my life and professional career, to help make sense of the circumstances and the times. I believe in prophecy; I believe in its authority and power to guide and correct, to empower and encourage the believer in the fulfillment of their destiny. It is for this time that this vision be made manifest and revealed, because in this vision, I see One Church Triumphant. “True experiences with God are Life-Changing,indelible events and are never forgotten.”Call it a conference, worship service, or classroom, but in this vision, I stood before God’s people teaching them. The sight was captivating! It wasn’t just any church service. The people were truly excited to be in the presence of the King of Kings. The ambiance was regal and the décor was tasteful.Just like those of noble blood in the royal courts from times long ago, there were people of all ages, races, and creeds, representing what looked like every nation. We were gathered together and on one accord with an intent desire to learn from the word of God. I saw people dressed as if they were royalty. They were adorned in fantastic clothes of reds, purples, blues and greens. There were tiaras, and crowns, turbans and other magnificent headpieces that filled the room with a majestic air. There was no doubt in my mind that the worship celebration was full of those who were the Kings and Priests of God. As I spoke, the Voice spoke to me, “The people don’t know who they are. They are dressed as royalty, they love to gather and to sing to Me, but they don’t know me or themselves. Be a leader among leaders. Teach them of Me... Stunned, I looked at the people, through all their finery and through all of the pomp and circumstance of the celebration, and I realized what I was called to do… to teach marketplace leaders to live as the Priests and Kings of God. In the book of Isaiah 61:6, it says, “And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.” And in Romans 5:17, Paul reminds us that, “we will reign in lifethrough Jesus.” In this passage the Greek word for REIGN is derived from the word for KING and means to be a king. To fast-forward the clock, and to speak to why we must pastor, I can see the hand of God moving me toward the fulfillment of His words to me. True experiences with God are life-changing, indelible events and are never forgotten. It has not been an easy road or a fast track to material success; the things of God don’t point us in that direction. But through it all, I have learned to trust in the completed work of Jesus and of His ever-flowing supply of Grace. I also recognize that IDENTITY always precedes DESTINY—it is only after our faith is tested that we have come to know who we are and to love Him in a way that was previously inconceivable. Life is, or rather, can be the greatest of teachers, if we live it with eyes opened by child-like faith. It is after these lessons were learned, our life’s journey has seasoned us and prepared us to produce a work that is approved, established on earth and in Heaven, Spirit-led, prophetically inspired and directed to fulfill our Biblical mandate to “stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.”(Philippians 1:27b, KJV)
