My appreciation for FEBC’s work even increased after Typhoon Haiyan, the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record, devastated a wide area in November of 2013, including the regional capital city of Tacloban. FEBC’s First Response Team moved in within days to set up a new, local radio station in order to communicate vital emergency information as well as offer comfort and hope.
