My aunt and uncle lived in a farm cottage in Rhossili and my uncle - TopicsExpress

My aunt and uncle lived in a farm cottage in Rhossili and my uncle accidentally caused a really bad fire in the cottage. This was sometime after July 1944 but likely to be in 1945. When they married in 1944 Leonard John Davies, my uncle, was a farm worker living at Pitton Farm. He married Alice Kathleen Harris, known as Kathleen. Family legend has it that a Mrs Button helped somehow or other. By June 1945, when my cousin was born, they were living at Penlan Cottage, Blackpill. My aunt and uncle are now dead and my cousins would like to know more about exactly what happened. Is there anyone out there that knows anything about the fire and, if so, exactly when it was so we can look for a newspaper report. The baby born then now lives in Lincolnshire. The whole family moved to Cowbridge then Cardiff by 1948.
