My buddys hands there! Good to always have someone as crazy as me to accompany on this mission of sketch whatever comes and regardless of how it turns out. You never know until you try. However, little did we know that HPV closes at around 6 - 7 p.m.? So, guess what happened? We were locked in! We went all the way to the front gate, all the way till we actually saw Latent Spaces Kaifeng (remembered him from USK SG 30 Aug) and were told that the only way out was to climb over the gates or look for the guard doing his rounds. We recalled that cars passed through the route behind Guan Yin (the Chinese Goddess of Mercy in this sketch), so we travelled back uphill! Silly of us -- and got lost in the wilderness of South Buona Vista Road to some place which didnt resemble normal civilization to us (think forests, quiet hilly roads and mansion-like houses). Managed to grab a cab to Bras Basah to grab hold of The Urban Sketching Handbook at teachers day discount during the last 10 minutes to closing from Basheer Graphic Books! What an adventure!
