My busiest day of the year is coming up this Sunday. For the last few years I have served as the Treasurer of a local political group which also entails being the cashier for the annual fundraising dinner. I am not just collecting and keeping track of dinner tickets but also keeping track of all the various auctions and fund raising games as they happen so I can provide an accurate detailed accounting of the funds raised. This is followed afterwards with running the numbers for legal reporting to the state and providing a financial report for the committee. At least this is the main extent of my duties as Treasurer. The rest of the year is pretty quiet save filing a few reports for the state with little to no activity. I dont mind volunteering for the job since it is very important and someone needs to do it. :)
