My church sign calendar today says: We often take driving directions from a total stranger when we are lost, but are hesitant to take Gods direction for our lives. Of course men are noted for our stubbornness and dont need to ask for directions. That gets us into all kinds of trouble! When we all are left to do our own thing good things can certainly happen, but so can a lot of terrible things. Some things can certainly have long term detrimental consequences, some may be extremely serious and immediate. We have a number of weaknesses that the devil has no problem in taking advantage of. That can lead us down some awful dark roads. That will inevitably destroy what God created and loves. Attributes like our health, self-esteem, relationships, family, our faith and our personal relationship with God. Gods word says: Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Psalm 23:1-6 He leads me in paths of righteousness for his names sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. Since I started doing P.A.C.K.
