A LOW-pressure system lurking in the Coral Sea will likely cross - TopicsExpress

A LOW-pressure system lurking in the Coral Sea will likely cross the Queensland coast late next week as no more than a category 1 system, forecasters say. The chances of a cyclone forming in the region over the weekend were upgraded to high by the Bureau of Meteorology yesterday as the system continued to move west from the Solomon Islands. Cairns duty forecaster Andrew Mostyn said it was distinctly unlikely the city would face any impact as it moved towards the coast.
