My company, bless its heart, recently rolled out BYOD and CYOD - TopicsExpress

My company, bless its heart, recently rolled out BYOD and CYOD policies to replace the fick dich, werden Sie nur BlackBerry auf Sprint verwenden approach that had failed so miserably thus far. My question is: what in the world compels any employee to choose BYOD as the right option here? I should clarify that this is entirely, completely, *non-reimbursed* and *un-subsidized* BYOD. Other than not having to suffer long-term radiation on both sides of your waist, why wouldnt you choose--as I just did--to get a brand-new iPhone 5S with unlimited bandwidth and international roaming that the company pays for 100%? Am I missing something here? BYOD seems to make sense only for sadistic, small companies who want to tether their employees to always-connected smartphones without having to pay for doing so. If you want me to check my email while Im at the park with my daughter on a Sunday, then you need to buy me the phone you expect me to check. Period. And while Im at it, yes, Id love it to be the snazziest and latest model so I can take higher-resolution pictures of her while Im doing so. Oh, and finally, this is interesting: our IT security folks dont trust the fingerprint scanner in the 5S so theyre disabling it until they can study it. Ha!
