My dad taught me everything I know about shooting film. He was patient as I tried to figure out f-stops and shutter speeds. He let me tag along to weddings to load film backs and fluff wedding dresses. We would get up early to shoot dew on spider webs in the nature center or bundle up in tons of winter gear to photograph frozen Michigan. These memories Ill never forget. Last year I gave my dad one of my digital cameras. This time it was a whole new world for him... no waiting for film to develop, but learning to edit instead. I like seeing the way he sees the world.
