My daughter bailey has destroyed my oakleys. They were on a counter, where she decided behind my back apparently to retrieve them, and make them a chew toy. I was specifically proud, I always loose my glasses but this time I had been taking special care to always know where they were. When I found the glasses bailey looked me in the eye, her ears peeled back and laid against her head, and she cowered under the bed. She knows... she knows exactly what she did and that it was wrong... she was hiding before I raised my voice! Even though she ruined my favorite pair of glasses (in a now discontinued style no less) it is genuinely hard for me to punish her as I know she is remorseful. Parents of actual humans, I do not envy you.
