My exciting announcement of the weekend (other than the fact I am now VAT registered!), is that, exactly one week today, the fantastic Mr Harold will be competing for the first time in over THREE years!! On Saturday 8th November, we will be competing at Crofton Manor...any supporters very welcome, as Harry always loved a crowd! We cant promise that our test will be perfect, as we havent done a huge amount of practice, and have to come back out at Advanced Medium...but, that fact that Harold is competing at all is a miracle! See the full story a few posts down on my page, but, briefly, Harry ruptured 80% of his tendon in his front leg whilst we were representing Great Britain at the 2* European Championships in 2011. For a long time, my greatest wish was for him to be sound enough to retire in his field; then it was to be able to hack him out occasionally; then it was to canter up a centre line...and that is about to be realised! I have owned Harry for 10 years now...he lived at Cambridge Vet School with me, and travelled to various parts of your country with me for work. When times have been tough, he has always been there... So, fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong over the next week, and if anyone fancies coming up watch (what may be an interesting test!!), then Ill let you know what time we are on!
