My favorite new startup Ive seen this year. This is a company to watch, it won Rackspace Hostings startup contest in Australia, among many other contests. Its the most interesting company Ive seen this year. If Nest is worth $3.+ billion Wattcost is worth more because it helps save money on your electricity bill and would enable a TON of new services in the home. What is it? A sensor and artificial intelligence system that watches every electrical device in your home. It tracks when different electrical appliances are turned on or off (it can tell what brand of refrigerator you have, for instance, just by the electrical signal it shows on your power line/meter). Reduce your carbon footprint. And more.
