My first road trip on the bike. Gotta tell ya folks, a cruise down Via De Luna making use of Floridas helmet optional law is an experience thats hard to describe. The road comes as close as 100 yards to the ocean in some places so you can taste the salt in the air. Surrounded by a sugar white beach on one side and Sea Oat scattered dunes on the other the road all but disappears. When I would hit an undulation in the highway, for a moment it seemed like I was floating. The powerful hum of the 1800 ccs I was sitting on began to feel like a Seadoo. Lost in the charm of the ocean, I guess. With the warm sun on my back and a gulf breeze flowing through my hair, I experienced a state of peace, relaxation and gratitude for Gods blessings that has stuck with me after I parked the bike.
