My friend Anil V Nagendran initiating his first Malayalam mega movie project inspired by Com. P. Krishana Pillai’s true story during forties named ‘Vasanthathinte Kanal Vazhikalil ‘. The movie is about untouchability, slavery and cruelty towards working class. Kerala witnessed several social evils such as untouchability, slavery, cruelty etc from among the Hindus during British colonial rule. A most primitive forms of social relations existed in the form of slavery in Kerala during the early decades of the nineteenth century. The untouchables, once the part of Travancorian slave community were delivered from their age old bondage of slavery, untouchability and cruelty by the colonial masters influence over the ruling elite of the land. The movie is portrayed the untouchables are those castes which are subject to some disabilities in every walk of life; social, religious, economic and political. Com. P.Krishna Pillai trying to wiped out the social evils in the village as a true Communist. He found Kerala seething with social unrest in every walk of life. Mr. Anil V Nagendran has paid justice to the periods of the story a certain extent and also he is having a generalized sense, patriotism and devotion to the society. All must listen a song after a long while composition by M.K Arjunan Mash, Thennale Mani Thennale sung by Jesudas and Chitra is a beautiful sweet melody. Film can expect two-three awards. I wish him all success for his endeavor.
