My friend who lives in Bayou Vista has been seeing monk parakeets flying over, but she had not found where they were nesting yet. I discovered that if you dont see them, you still might find them by the noise they make. We drove with the windows down and the radio off and their chattering was unmistakeable. There were only six, but SO noisy! Here is a photo of the only one I could see, and it was pretty well disguised. I only discovered how many there actually were in the tree when they all flew away.
