My friends as I sit here on my first Sunday night of retirement Im conflicted by feelings of excitement, peace and sadness. Im at peace knowing this time will allow me to gain my good health back. Im sad about all the great friends.... More than friends .... The coworkers I truly considered family. Weve been through sickness, health, weddings, births, school concerts, plays & graduations. So many good times at Gross Minsky from the partners, associates and my support staff colleagues. I will miss you all tremendously!!!! Along with numerous clients and partner firms I also consider friends. The relationships Ive made and cherished make this a truly difficult life decision. Lastly, Im excited!!! Looking forward to feeling better & doing whatever I want at any time. Ive mastered the afternoon nap (so you know that one is really easy) I can sleep until 7am and still go to bed at my usual time. Im thinking this sleep thing may take me back a few years.... That being said, be on the lookout for my exciting adventures. Im really looking forward to football season and making it through the Sunday night games with the die hard fans I live with. Who knows maybe Ill take up swearing & drinking beer like they do on Sundays.... Take care my friends ... Love Ruth
