My heart ache for the innocent Palestinians forced to be a human shield.... and for the Israeli soldiers being in such horrible position. The Israeli army is NOT trained to fight against civilians - it is trained to protect civilians. Its a moral disaster beyond the local conflict!!! The emotional pain and trauma for individuals in both sides, either participating or watching, is unmeasurable. I vividly remember my personal experience of FEAR in January 1991. Being seven month pregnant, escaping to a family sealed room protected from potential gas attack on my house, in the gulf war. I can easily recall this fear in each cell in my body and thus fully sympathize with the fear of individuals (in both sides). We are all people, fearful, we are really the same. For a resolution to work it must address ALL peoples fear (before it turns into uncontrollable anger). I would have loved to see an international body disarming the human shield to separate Hamas from innocent civilians. I pray that compassion will unite us one day before fear will totally blind us and separate us from each other and from our own hearts.
