My heart feels for those who have painful and dysfunctional family dynamics this time of year. I have battled with this time of year my entire life. When I was a kid, the happier everyone else was, the lonelier and more confused I felt. For those who can relate and are searching for better days, this is my advice; 1 look and think forward 2 only surround yourself with good people no matter the cost. The years can get better but it is a choice. I credit my wife to helping me gain perspective in the past 10 years and for showing me what real, unconditional family and love is. And credit my brother for being someone to hold on to, protect and strive for ever since I since I could remember. You both have saved me... Not everyone is blessed with a default happy holidays but those of us can, with the power of choice, make it a better holidays, bit by bit and year over year.
