My heart is breaking. As Lacey and I sit in our hotel room in Vegas, we found out that Vernon is burning! Acres of beautiful forest is being destroyed as fire fighters race to contain it. This is BAD. The last time this happened, so much of the White Mountains were decimated--people losing their homes. Vernon has already been evacuated and we just heard that an issue has been made for Pinetop and Showlow (these towns are 20-40 minutes away from Snowflake) PLEASE pray for those in the fires path. Pray for the brave souls whove dropped everything to go contain it. Lacey and I have watch it go from a 100 acres lost to over 1000 now in a short matter of hours. Finally, PLEASE OBEY FIRE RESTRICTIONS. They are there for this VERY REASON. They arent there to ruin fun and spoil vacations. We cant prevent nature from starting fires with lightning strikes etc, but we sure can make better choices. This isnt funny. Its serious. *sighs* Be careful, everyone. Be safe.
