My heart is heavy today. So heavy. Last year, a friend of mine lost her nephew to suicide. She messaged me yesterday that another boy just took his own life... and a thousand lives were changed in a single second. Heartbreaking. This morning, I received a text from a friend in Reno... A young man her sons age is gone. Just gone. Ended his own life and shattered the hearts around him. What. Is. Happening. What?!? It is happening faster and more often. Lightning strikes and lives burn. This is a robbery- a horrific, senseless theft of precious lives. We MUST stop this. You MUST help me stop this!!!! Please look your child in the eyes this morning, right now, and tell them how precious they are! No matter what, they are valuable! They need to know their worth. They need to understand that moments pass, and they are going to be okay. They need more love, more support, more help to problem solve and process! I have to go cry now. Im going to cry for a while and get some of this grief out. I didnt know these boys but my heart is heavy just the same. I am going to cry for a minute and pray for their mamas and their friends and their loved ones. Then I am going to do something, anything, to make a difference today. I will save a life with my words or my hugs or my efforts today. YOU CAN TOO. Please help.
